Invitation to Register
While our Call for Submissions has already closed, we would like to invite you to register to attend the 2016 Social Study of IT Open Research Forum (SSIT ORF) Workshop at the London School of Economics on the 19th of May 2016. Aiming at PhD and junior researchers, this year’s workshop will investigate the variety of data centric research in the social sciences.
Arguably, we live in the age of the data revolution. The wave of data is redefining what we study, how we study it and how we theorise. Already acclaimed by some as a paradigmatic shift in science, the data revolution and data science receive considerable attention within the social sciences community. As such, this year’s Social Study of IT Open Research Forum of the Department of Management, LSE, aims at presenting research in progress in this area. If you are researching big data and analytics, this is the place for you to talk about your research, discuss potential stumbling blocks and hear from other participants who may be approaching similar research questions from different theoretical or methodological perspectives.
Registrations for the Open Research Forum are currently taking place and you can register here.
Looking forward to meeting you in May,
Open Research Forum Committee
